Charlie鄔卓琳: Good morning, headmistress, teachers and fellow schoolmates. I am Charlie Wu of class 4A and this is my best friend Lotus Wu.
Lotus胡雨荷: Good morning, everybody.
Charlie: Today we are going to share this book with you, The Chinese New Year, published by Cambridge University Press.
Lotus: Long long time ago, there were twelve animals arguing beside the river.
Charlie: They all wanted the New Year named after them.
Lotus: The clever daughter of the king asked them to have a swimming race across the river. Then the New Year could have the name of the winner.
Charlie: And we all know, the winner was the rat !
Lotus: Yes, we know this Chinese story very well but it is quite interesting to read the English version.
Charlie: So we can learn some English by reading this book. That’s good !
Lotus: Share with you again next time !
