Good morning Headmistress, all the teachers and fellow schoolmates. We are Angela Ku古智恩 and Tiffany Yung翁曉瞳 from Class 5C. Today, we would like to share a book with you all. The story book called “ Ruby the Red Fairy”. It was written by Daisy Meadows.

Angela :   Tiffany, have you heard the story about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

Tiffany :   Yes, that’s the fairy tale we heard when we were small.

Angela :   Sure. In the story we talk about today, the two girls , Rachel and Kirsty, were trying to find out whether it was true or not.

Tiffany :   Instead of finding gold at the end of the rainbow, they found a pot in which Ruby the Red Fairy was trapped. They set Ruby free.

Angela :   Ruby told the girls sadly that Fairyland, the beautiful place where the fairies lived, were in trouble. In the Fairyland Midsummer Ball, Jack Frost Monster came and cast a spell on the Fairyland because he was not invited to the party.

Tiffany :   He turned and point a thin , icy finger at the Rainbow Fairies. The spell would make the Rainbow Fairies to the seven corners of the mortal world. Fairyland would be without colour forever. The Fairyland Queen was trying to guide the Fairies to a safe place by keeping them in the pot.

Angela :   However, all the fairies, except Ruby, were blown out from the pot by the strong wind. They scattered all over the Rainspell Island and they were trapped by the spell. Ruby asked Rachel and Kirsty to help save Fairyland and Ruby’s Rainbow sisters.

Tiffany :   How could Rachel and Kirsty save Fairyland? What did they need to overcome the difficulties? Cooperation or courage? If you like fairy tale, you will enjoy this story very much. The story is really interesting and exciting.
