Good morning, headmaster, teachers and fellow schoolmates. I am Tom Ko from Class 4C. Do you like heroes? Are they Spiderman, Batman or Transformer? Have you ever heard a hero, Captain Underpants?
Today I want to share a story “Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets” The story was about two fourth grade pupils, actually the school science genius, George and Harold. They turned the cartoon into reality. They could transform Mr. Krupp, the school principal, into the greatest superhero in the history of their school, Captain Underpants. The principal was very angry. He did not allow these two boys to join the annual science fair.
However, the boys have accidentally created a whole army of evil, the talking toilets!!! They even captured Captain Underpants.
George and Harold are usually responsible kids. They kept on thinking up the solution. Finally they were able to create the Robo-Plunger and saved the principal.
I like this story because it was a funny story. If you like exciting adventures, you will like this book because it is hard to know how the adventure will turn out.

That is the end of my sharing. Hope you like this book, thank you!

I am Mary Chan from 4B.I used to read stories and fiction but one day I saw this book of my favourite sport, HOW TO IMPROVE AT SWIMMING. I tried to open it and I found that it is so interesting. I never thought that we can learn anything about sport from reading a book. However, by looking at the step-by-step photo, it helps me master the difficult skills such as the arm movement and the turn. I am sure I can improve my performance and swim faster. Moreover, I learn some rules and regulations of the sport. And also, I can find out how the famous swimmers have reached the top.

Hot summer is at the corner. Are you ready to swim fast? Come on, let’s read this lovely book and keep fit together.

Good morning, headmaster, teachers and fellow schoolmates. I am Rex Chan from Class 4A. Do you have a dream? What is it? What can you do to make your dream come true?
Today I want to share a story “The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me” It was written by Roald Dahl. The story was about a small boy, Billy who wanted to own a candy shop, met a window-washing team of a giraffe, a monkey and a pelican, Pelly. The wealthy Duke of Hampshire hired them to clean the windows of his house. While cleaning the windows they saw a robber in a fourth floor window. They caught the robber and called the police. The police took the robber to jail. The Duke gave them a reward. Billy opened a candy shop. His dream came true. The animals chose to live in the Duke’s garden and enjoyed their favourite food.
I like this story because it was fun and simple enough for me to read and, most pleasingly. It also includes several delightful rhymes and songs that I like to make up tunes for and sing while reading. Most importantly, the characters have dreams and use their unique talents to attempt to achieve their dreams.
That is the end of my sharing. Hope you like this book, thank you!

Tinkie

Suki:        Today, we would like to introduce you a story book called “ Bears can’t fly. by Val Biro.
Tinkie:      Little Brown Bear looked up into the forest trees and he wanted to be a bird. “Now wouldn’t be lovely to fly about and sing all day,” “All I need is a beak, some wings and feathers,” he thought.
Suki:        First he found the odd-job man who lived at the edge of the forest to make him the wings just like two kites on his back. But when he asked the birds including the most talented Owl whether he was a bird or not now, the birds laughed louder than ever and told him that he can’t be a bird with wings without feathers.
Tinkie:      Then, Little Brown Bear went to find the tailor to make him some feathers. The tailor made a coat out of some spare hat feathers for him.
Suki:        “I am a bird now! I have got feathers.” cried Little Brown Bear. Owl shook his head. “You haven’t got a beak!” Owl hooted.
Tinkie:      After that, Little Brown Bear climbed to the top of the tree broke off a piece of hollow branch for his beak.
Suki:        He then asked the birds again. Owl just said, “But tell me this. Can you fly?” Little Brown Bear climbed up the rock, spread his arms, closed his eyes, took a deep breath and jumped.
Tinkie:      Poor Little Brown Bear fell in a pile of leaves and rolled over and over…
Suki:        What happened then? Did he get hurt? What lesson did Little Brown Bear learn? Maybe you should read it yourself.
Tinkie:      We like this book because of the easy and simple language that the writer has used to capture the characters’ feelings.
Suki & Tinkie: This is the end of our sharing today. Thank you!
