The book I would like to share to
you all is “The Boy who Built a Wall Around Himself”. It was written by Ali
Redford.
It
was about a boy who built a wall to keep himself safe. Actually, it was not
referring to a real wall. The author used a simple metaphor to explain the
painful feelings the boy experienced. So, the wall was the barrier which
protected him and made him feel strong. However, deep inside his heart, he was
scared and sad. Luckily someone who was kind and caring came to him. She talked
and listened to him. She also played with him. Her patience broke his wall.
Lastly, the boy started a new life and he became happy again.
I like this book because I learn
that communication and sharing are important in our lives. We need to talk to
others such as our parents, teachers or friends to express our feelings, both
happiness and sadness. As a result, trust is built up among people.
