        Do you like sea? I like sea very much because I like fish and different sea animals. The sea animal I like best is jellyfish. Today I would like to share an interesting book with all of you. It is “Jellyfish”.

         This book tells us a lot of things about jellyfish such as their life cycle, their living, their outlook and how they find food. I think many of you think jellyfish is a kind of fish just by looking at the word. Actually, they are not. They are sea animals. These umbrella-shaped animals can be as big as men. Do you know how they catch and eat food? They use their tentacles to sting prey, usually they are small fish and plankton, and pull the prey into the mouth. How amazing it is.

          I like this book because I learn a lot about these wonderful animals, jellyfish. I want not only jellyfish, but all the fish and the other sea animals can live happily in the sea. This book inspires me to protect the environment. If we keep on making the sea dirty, all the sea animals may die in one day and we cannot appreciate these lovely creatures anymore. Hope you like this book.

    我為大家介紹一本書，書名叫做《鬥嘴一班(13)驚險網上遊》，作者是卓瑩。

    故事中主角黃子祺因為不擅長電腦，因而被同學取笑，於是他下定決心要做好電腦功課，可惜做了半天依然徒勞無功，接着便上網漫無目的地瀏覽。這個時候，他發現了一個遊戲網站，並認識到一位叫「黑巫師」的網友，「黑巫師」還幫黃子祺完成電腦功課呢！後來，黃子祺還將這個電腦遊戲介紹俾周志明，兩人從此就沉迷玩電腦遊戲，連功課亦拜託「黑巫師」代勞。有一日，黑巫師竟然要求兩人付酬勞！黃子祺和周志明頓時驚惶失措，不知如何是好……幸好警察捉了「黑巫師」，他們二人才平安無事。

為甚麼我對這本有這麼大的感受，繼而和大家分享？首先，這個系列的內容是圍繞校園生活，情節輕鬆有趣，令我覺得份外有趣，容易產生共鳴。現在青少年沉迷網上遊戲，以致荒廢學業，甚至廢寢忘食，而我亦同樣經歷沉迷玩樂。但是我發現學生的「正職」是學習，玩樂只是生活的一小部分，以我現在會努力學習。最後，我希望大家能夠多看課外書，增加知識。

2018.03.20 4B 陳喬恩 分享 “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”

I would like to share a storybook, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with you.

Once upon a time there lived a lovely princess, Snow White. Her mother died when Snow White was a baby and her father married again. This queen was very pretty but she was very cruel. She often asked her magic mirror, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall! Who is the most beautiful of all?” And the magic said, “You are!” But one day, the mirror said, “Snow White!” The queen was very angry. She ordered her huntsman to kill her. But he set her free.

Snow White came to a tiny cottage. There was nobody, but she found seven plates on the table and seven tiny beds in the bedroom. She slept on one of the tiny beds. At night, the seven dwarfs came home and found Snow White sleeping. The dwarfs loved her and cared for her.

At the same time, in the palace, the queen asked the mirror, “Who is the most beautiful of all?” The mirror said, “Snow White! She lives with the seven dwarfs in the woods!” The queen then made a poisonous red apple and went to the woods. Snow White ate the apple and fell into sleep. The queen asked the mirror, “Who is the most beautiful of all?” The mirror answered, “You are, Your Majesty!” She was very happy.

When the seven dwarfs came home, they found Snow White lying on the floor. They were very sad. They built a glass coffin for her. One day, Prince Charming was going past the cottage, he saw Snow White lying in the coffin. He said, “She is so beautiful! I would like to kiss her!” Then Snow White opened her eyes. She was alive again! The Prince and the seven dwarfs were very happy. Prince Charming married Snow White and took her to his palace and lived happily ever after.

    我和大家分享一本書叫 《狐狸的電話亭》。

    深山裏面有一對狐狸母子，小狐狸在涼冷的秋天病死了，留下傷心欲絕的狐狸媽媽繼續獨自生活。山腳下有一座老舊的電話亭。有一個小男孩因為思念入醫院治療的母親，每日黃昏都會到人煙稀少的電話亭打電話給遠方的母親。思念小狐狸的狐狸媽媽與遙想母親的小男孩，因緣際會的交織出一段感人至深的故事。

    這個故事令人十分感動，加上書中插圖清淡柔美，令人備感溫馨。正如人的生命很短暫，我們要珍惜身邊的人。最基本的是孝順父母，要做好自己的本份。而故事中狐狸媽媽是不懂魔法，但是她的堅持令她將不可能的任務成真，這件事鼓勵我要努力堅持自己的理想，終有一日會成功。

2018.03.13 4A 陳浚亨 分享 “The Boy who Built a Wall Around Himself”

        The book I would like to share to you all is “The Boy who Built a Wall Around Himself”. It was written by Ali Redford.

                It was about a boy who built a wall to keep himself safe. Actually, it was not referring to a real wall. The author used a simple metaphor to explain the painful feelings the boy experienced. So, the wall was the barrier which protected him and made him feel strong. However, deep inside his heart, he was scared and sad. Luckily someone who was kind and caring came to him. She talked and listened to him. She also played with him. Her patience broke his wall. Lastly, the boy started a new life and he became happy again.

I like this book because I learn that communication and sharing are important in our lives. We need to talk to others such as our parents, teachers or friends to express our feelings, both happiness and sadness. As a result, trust is built up among people.

 

2018.03.08 4B 吳睿禧、蘇柏熹 分享《你還愛我嗎？》

    我們為大家分享的書名是《你還愛我嗎？》，作者是艾爾哈特‧迪特爾。

    故事大概講述小熊的爸爸、媽媽一直吵架，最後他們終究還是分開了。後來，他們都各自有了交往的對象，這讓小熊很擔心以後沒有人再愛自己，但爸媽卻因而更愛他。

    對於書中難忘的部分是小熊媽媽的新對象是在馬戲團工作過的，因此小熊模仿耍雜技，將皮球拋來拋去，還掉到地上，十分惹笑。

    看了這本書的前部分，我們知道小熊的爸媽快會分開，令人擔心以後沒有人愛小熊，結果小熊的爸媽沒有因此而不愛他，反而令小熊生活得更開心，我們也替他高興。我們也希望的爸媽永遠和我們一起，因為我們很愛他們。

2018.03.06 5E Angelo 分享 'The Diary of a Wimpy Kid'

'The Diary of a Wimpy Kid' books are all about a kid called Greg who fills in his journal of all the misadventures in his life.

Everything Greg seems to do has funny consequences and his family are very funny, too. In this book it is summer vacation and even though it is nice and hot Greg insists on staying inside hooked up to his video games with the blinds drawn. His mother is tired of Greg being lazy and decides that this summer should be fun and packed with family activities.

This book was very good. My favourite character has to be Greg as he can be horrible but the audience always roots for him anyway! I really like the part when Greg's mum is forgotten by the whole family at a petrol station - it is hilarious.

I recommend this book to you because it is quite easy to read, but it has some challenging words as well.

I give this book 5 stars because I enjoyed reading it so much. Millions of kids around the world are readers because of the Wimpy Kid books. They've been translated into many different languages! There are fans from Japan, the UK, Italy, China and Hong Kong. They'd all agree the Wimpy Kid books are the funniest books a kid can read...in any language!
