I’m Samantha(洪子心)from class 5A. Today I’m going to introduce a book called “Writers and Poets”. It introduces some well-known people both from China and Western countries from different time periods. It is easy to read it although it is written in English. Helen Keller is one of the famous people in this book. She was blind and deaf after a high fever when she was nineteen months old. Then she got angry easily. When she was six years old, she met her first tutor, Miss Anne Sullivan. She taught her how to speak and read. From then on, Helen loved reading. Later she went to a sister college. After three years, she published her first book. Helen was great because she never gave up. She didn’t care about her illnesses. She worked hard to learn. I hope all of you would not give up when you feel unhappy and you would like this book. Thank you!
