每天午讀音樂響起，同學們便急不及待拿起書本閱讀，一起享受這段時間。

2019.04.30 4E 許米高 分享'Hercules the twelve labors-a Greek myth'

Title of the book: Hercules the twelve labors-A Greek Myth

Author: Paul D. Storrie and Steve Kurth

I am Michael from P.4E. I would like to share a story book called “Hercules the twelve labors-A Greek Myth". Hercules is a hero from Greek myth. Hercules was born half-god, half-man. He is the son of Zeus who is the King of the Gods, at the same time, Hercules has a mortal mother. And this fact makes Hera who is the wife of Zeus dislikes him so much. This book talks about his great feats of strength and courage in passing the test of Hera.

From this book, I have learnt to face difficulties with courage and confidence. We should never give up so easily. That’s all of my sharing. Thank you. 

2019.04.17 閱讀講座--潘明珠女士

四至六年級閱讀講座，我校非常榮幸能邀請潘明珠女士到校，主講「圖書放大鏡—做個愛探索的少年」。

潘女士還介紹許多她的作品是如何創作的。其實創作的靈感多來自生活體驗，只要多留心就有好材料。

潘女士介紹其中一部作品《明星同學》時，提及過往一些童星朋友的遭遇。我們同學當中，5C張傲程同學既要拍攝電影，又要拍攝電視劇，究竟要如何取得平衡呢？張同學與潘女士真情談話。

《時間偵探》書中，又給我們怎樣提醒？5B陳恩喬同學領略到時間的失去，是要我們珍惜光陰，好好利用每一分每一秒。

最後，4A于正言向潘女士請教她小時候愛看甚麼書？還有她喜愛哪一位作家？
潘女士都一一解答。她小時候愛看安徒生童話、格林童話，之後慢慢接觸不同的作品，例如金庸的小說等，到了中學時期，她愛看白先勇的作品。現在她欣賞曹文軒教授的作品。她更鼓勵同學們多閱讀、多創作。

4月23日是世界閱讀日，大家一齊愛閱讀吧！

2019.04.16 4D 郭皓彥、呂珀希 分享 'Miss Lady Bird's Wildflowers'

Title of the book: Miss Lady Bird’s Wildflowers

Author: Kathi Appelt

Hugo and Marcus:   Good morning headmaster, teachers and fellow schoolmates.

Hugo:                        I’m Hugo from 4D.

Marcus:                   I’m Marcus from 4D.

Hugo and Marcus:   Today, we’d like to share a book called Miss Lady Bird’s Wildflowers with all of you.

Marcus:                    This book is about a person, Lady Bird Johnson.

Hugo:                      She liked flowers very much

Marcus:                   When she was a child, her mother died. Her daddy was too busy that he sent her to Aunt Effie.

Hugo:                      Aunt Effie planted many flowers and trees in her garden. Ladybird loved them very much.

Marcus:                   When she was eighteen, she became a student of a famous university. She fell in love with rocky slopes and brushy trees. When she was 21, she became the wife of the city mayor. She planted the flowers to make the whole city beautiful.

Hugo:                      Also, she planted many flowers for all the schools in the city. But her husband died in 1973. She was very sad that she drew comfort from the flowers.

Marcus:                   When she was 70, she helped to set up the National Wild Flowers Research Centre. People respected her very much.

Hugo and Marcus:    That’s the end of our sharing. Goodbye.

2019.04.15 小學生十本好書投票

香港教育城一直鼓勵學生、教師及公眾分享閱讀。自2003年起，教城每年舉辦「十本好讀」選舉，讓學界選出心愛的書籍和作家。

第16屆「十本好讀」於2019年4月15日午讀時段，由全校學生一人一票選出2017/18年度出版的心愛書籍和作家。活動順利完成，選票將於稍後送交教育城。

新雅文化2019小學生創意閱讀及寫作大賽(1)

這個復活節，假如同學們想發揮平日所學，能一展所長，就是一個好機會了！

「新雅文化2019小學生創意閱讀及寫作大賽」現正舉行，同學們於4月15日或4月16日，在校內會收到一份表格、一份參賽章程及書目。

2019.04.11 4C 陳保螢、劉穎桐 分享《魔法小怪大發明家》

劉穎桐、陳保螢：我們要分享的書叫《魔法小怪大發明家》

劉穎桐： 作者是關景峰，這本書是我們四年級中文科的《文學欣賞計劃》的圖書之一。

陳保螢： 書中講述邁爾斯是一位聰明伶俐、足智多謀、勇敢果斷的學生。他發明了很多古怪東西去解決問題。

劉穎桐： 托托和尼克是他的好朋友，他們經常互相幫助。可是邁爾斯和托托十分頑皮，考試作弊、又偷看同學的試卷，經常令安娜老師生氣，常常被老師懲罰。

陳保螢： 作者透過邁爾斯的校園故事是想教導我們──雖然每個人都有小聰明，但要用得其所，不要欺騙別人，結果，最終受到教訓的都是自己。

劉穎桐： 而且做錯事要勇於認錯，接受教訓後要認真改過，最後才可以得到別人的原諒。

陳保螢： 看過這本書後，我學懂了做人要誠實，抱有認真的學習態度，不要自欺欺人。

劉穎桐：我十分喜歡這本書，因為作者用生動有趣的手法去描寫人物的性格，我們尤如置身其中。

陳保螢：而且我從書中還學會了很多四字詞語和課外生字。希望大家都喜歡這本圖書。

劉穎桐、陳保螢：謝謝各位。

2019.04.09 4C高肇隆 分享 'Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets'

Good morning, headmaster, teachers and fellow schoolmates. I am Tom Ko from Class 4C. Do you like heroes? Are they Spiderman, Batman or Transformer? Have you ever heard a hero, Captain Underpants?

Today I want to share a story “Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets” The story was about two fourth grade pupils, actually the school science genius, George and Harold. They turned the cartoon into reality. They could transform Mr. Krupp, the school principal, into the greatest superhero in the history of their school, Captain Underpants. The principal was very angry. He did not allow these two boys to join the annual science fair.

       However, the boys have accidentally created a whole army of evil, the talking toilets!!! They even captured Captain Underpants.

George and Harold are usually responsible kids. They kept on thinking up the solution. Finally they were able to create the Robo-Plunger and saved the principal.

I like this story because it was a funny story. If you like exciting adventures, you will like this book because it is hard to know how the adventure will turn out.

崔校長、各位老師、各位同學，早晨！我是4B班的鄭鈞鴻，今天會由我向大家進行中文好書分享。

在聖誕假期裏，我閱讀了《名人的小故事》這本書。書中記載了古今中外名人的一百個小故事，當我閱讀這本圖書後，讓我感覺名人並不是遙不可及。他們的小故事告訴我們：人，不一定能夠成為偉人，但至少可以成為有用的人。

我最喜歡書中甘地的故事。有一次他乘坐火車，一隻鞋不小心被擠掉，跌落在路軌上。這時火車已經開始啟動，他毫不猶豫地將另一隻鞋子扔在那隻鞋的旁邊。他說：「讓撿到的窮人有一雙鞋子吧！」他雖然失去那雙鞋子，但能讓得到鞋子的人感到快樂，這種精神多麼可嘉啊！

「成人之美」也是中華文明的美德，讓他人得到自己所無法擁有的。成人之美的人，是出於對別人的尊重和關愛，他們樂於為善，樂於為他人著想，是值得我們學習的美德。

2019.04.02 4B 陳曉盈 分享'How to Improve at Swimming'

I am Mary Chan from 4B.I used to read stories and fiction but one day I saw this book of my favourite sport, HOW TO IMPROVE AT SWIMMING. I tried to open it and I found that it is so interesting. I never thought that we can learn anything about sport from reading a book. However, by looking at the step-by-step photo, it helps me master the difficult skills such as the arm movement and the turn. I am sure I can improve my performance and swim faster. Moreover, I learn some rules and regulations of the sport. And also, I can find out how the famous swimmers have reached the top.

Hot summer is at the corner. Are you ready to swim fast? Come on, let’s read this lovely book and keep fit together.
