今天，我要介紹的圖書就是《神奇大樓之彩虹孩子》。這本書的作者是黃慶雲女士。

這本書的內容是講述在很久以前有一幢神奇大樓，裏面住着來自不同國家的小孩子，而其中一位小孩叫瑪利，瑪利是來自英國的小姑娘，她的性格比較活潑開朗。

    有一天，瑪利邀請神奇大樓裏面的所有小孩參加一個聯歡會，他們皆穿上自己國家的民族服裝參加聯歡會，衣服的顏色繽紛奪目，有如地上的彩紅。因著大家的文化和背景不同，所以在聯歡會中發生了很多的趣事。藉著這本圖書，讓我了解不同國家的文化特色，真的獲益良多啊!

     各位同學如果瑪利邀請你參加聯歡會，你又會穿什麼衣服呢？故事令我明白各個民族有不同的文化背景，我們要懂得尊重別人。例如身在阿拉伯國家，就不要在他們面前吃豬肉，因為他們認為豬是不潔的動物。希望大家透過這個故事，分享尊重和愛！謝謝大家！

Jocelyn: Today we want to share a book with you. It is called ‘Mickey Finds His Way’.

Kyo:        I think all of you are familiar with the cartoon character, Mickey. He is so popular all over the world. Children like reading books about him because he is so funny.

Jocelyn: The book ‘Mickey Finds His Way’ is about Mickey and his friends. One day, Mickey got a letter from his friends, Goldilocks and the three bears. They invited Mickey to visit them. The next day, Mickey wanted to visit them. Yet, he had to go across the sea but the water was so deep.

Kyo:         How could he go? Mickey’s magic friend, Toodles, helped him. He got a boat for Mickey. Then Mickey rowed the boat across the sea. It was difficult for Mickey to do so but he did it. At last, he saw his friends and they ate and played happily.

Jocelyn: I think friends are very important for us. We can help each other whenever we are in need. We share our ups and downs as well.

Good morning, everyone! I’m Gary Foo from Class 5A. I would like to share with all of you a wonderful book called Sunset of the Sabertooth, written by Mary Pope Osborne.

   This book is about two kids called Jack and Annie who wanted to help Morgan, the librarian from the magic tree house, to free her from the magic spell. They went to the ice age to collect something starting with “M”. On their way, they saw cave bears, Sabertooths, cave kids and more! Luckily at last, they went home safely.

      I recommend this book to you because the plot is appealing and stimulating. You can find out what life was like living in the ice age too! You can buy the Magic Tree House series books at the bookshop or borrow it from the school library or public library.

      Hope you will enjoy reading the Magic Tree House series books as much as I do! Goodbye!

張沁渝：   依雯，你在看甚麼書看得入神呀？

鄭依雯：   我在看的這本書叫《濃情集》。這本書的作者是阿濃。這本書收錄了阿濃很多篇散文。這些散文的取材都是圍繞阿濃在平日的所見所聞，又或者是他在生活上的一些經歷同感受。

張沁渝：   在這麼多篇文章之中，你最喜歡哪一篇呢？

鄭依雯：   我最喜歡的文章題目叫《爸爸，你休想脫身！》。這篇文章好特別，主要是阿濃用女兒第一身的身份，寫一次父女兩人的對話。

張沁渝：   我都有看過這個故事。父女二人和爸爸的朋友在一次茶聚中，爸爸的朋友問女兒的近況？女兒回答正在讀護士學校。爸爸的朋友打趣地說：你的女兒長大了，你終於可以「甩身」了！

鄭依雯：   不過，女兒想到將來即使自己結婚，也想永遠跟着爸爸。現實中，爸爸當然不可以「甩身」，即是說女兒長大就不用管她了。中國古語有云「養兒一百歲，長憂九十九」。我很羨慕故事中父女的感情非常好，他們不只是一對父女，亦像是一對感情深厚的朋友一樣。

張沁渝：   看完這篇文章後，令我感受到父母無條件地愛我們，無微不至地照顧我們，讓我知道我們要好好地報答父母的養育之恩。

Karry:     Good morning everyone. I’m Karry, in 6E.

Mandy:  I’m Mandy, in 6E. We are going to share with you the book, “Pinky and Rex and the New Baby”.

Karry:     Do you have any brothers or sisters? I am the only child of the family and sometimes I am very bored.

Mandy:  I have a brother and he is in P.2. Sometimes he is very naughty and makes me so angry. However, I love him and we are good friends.

Karry:     And in this story, Rex is going to have a baby brother. She doesn’t like the idea at all.

Mandy:  Her friend Pinky is not happy about it either.

Karry:     Pinky comes up with a plan. If she can be the perfect big sister, her parents will have to pay attention to her.

Mandy:  The trouble is, being the perfect big sister is a lot of work, and it doesn’t leave time for much else – like her best friend, Pinky.

Karry:     But don’t worry. It is not a problem.

Mandy:  Yes. They love the baby.

Karry:     Let’s read the book and you will see how their lives are back in normal.

Mandy:  I will read this book with my little brother too.

江芷翹、江芷澄：  今日我們和大家分享《包公奇案》這本圖書。

江芷澄：     芷翹，我知道你喜歡看偵探小說，這本書最適合你看。

江芷翹：     包公是誰？他會查甚麼案件？

江芷澄：     包公是北宋時最出名的大法官，他料事如神，先後偵破佷多奇案。

江芷翹：     其中最為人熟悉的是「烏龜報恩」。

江芷澄：     究竟這是一宗怎麼樣的案件呢？在浙西，有個有錢人葛洪剛從農夫手中買了幾隻活烏龜回來，他不忍心將烏龜煮成佳餚，就把牠們放生。葛洪的朋友陶興見財失義，表面上陪他去西京做生意，實則暗地裏設計殺害他，灌醉他，把他推下古井，令他葬身井底。

江芷翹：     陶興後來賣掉葛洪的貨物，將部分錢交給葛洪家人，假稱葛洪溺死，其家人信以為真。

江芷澄：     後來包公路過浙西，巧遇葛洪救過的烏龜，全靠牠引路，在井底找到葛洪的屍體，包公徹查此案，最終找到真兇──陶興。

江芷翹：     包公在查案期間，從葛洪妻子口中得知那活烏龜是想答謝葛洪當日不殺之恩。

江芷澄：     這真是奇案！葛洪「善有善報」，現在可以沉冤得雪。在現實生活中，我們要多做善事啊！

Good morning Headmaster, teachers and fellow classmates. I am

Sophie Ko from 6D. Today I like to share a book with you. It is ‘A Kids’ Guide

to 50 Careers.’ In this book children are curious about anything, especially

what has happened to them. Children are too young for any career advice,

they always picture themselves in different jobs, troubling their parents with the ‘What will I be when I grow up’ question.

     This book tries to satisfy primary students’ curiosity and helping them learn English in a fun way. This book has interesting dialogue that students can learn from and act out. It also teaches students to learn grammar and usage. I learn a lot of words and grammar usage from this book. I am sure you must have fun from it.

譚漪晴：   咦…子欣，你在看甚麼書？

林子欣：   我在看《童話夢工場之冰雪公主》呢！

譚漪晴： 這本書說甚麼的？

林子欣：   這本書講述一個公主的故事，她的名字叫格爾達。她在十八歲的時候和一位叫加伊的男子舉行婚禮的時候，因為一場大風雪吹爛了魔鏡，而魔鏡的碎片剛好掉入了加伊的眼睛裏，魔鏡的碎片令到加伊性情大變，眼中所看見的東西變得十分醜陋，他的行為更惹人討厭。

譚漪晴：   好慘啊！他們怎麼辦？

林子欣：   格爾達公主為了令加伊回復本性，於是他們一邊逃避國王和士兵的追捕，一邊踏上一段千辛萬苦的旅程。在旅程中，格爾達公主遇上了神秘的小企鵝、花阿姨、巧千金等等，許多的人物。他們還到訪過女廚神之家，過程既驚險又緊張。

譚漪晴：   你看完這本書後，有甚麼感受呢？

林子欣：   我覺得這本書可以教導我們有堅毅不屈的精神，我們不可以因為小小的挫折而屈服，就好似我們默書不及格，我們都不可以氣餒，要繼續努力。

Kelvin:           Good morning, headmaster, teachers and fellow schoolmates. I’m Kelvin Ho from 6C.

Betty:            I’m Betty Chan. Kelvin, what do you like doing on holidays?

Kelvin:           I like making models. I also like travelling.

Betty:            Really! Then you have to read this book ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’.

Kelvin:           I have read this book before. My friend Attis recommended it to me. The story happened long long time ago. A rich English gentleman made a bet that he could go around the world in eighty days. Accompanied by his French manservant, they set off on an incredible race against the clock.

Betty:            It sounds really interesting! Do you like this book?

Kelvin:           Sure! From the reader, I learn a lot about history and culture. The reader contains a wide range of activities too. They help me practise the four skills. It also goes along with a CD so you can listen to the story and play some interactive activities.

Betty:            Wow! Reading is really fun. Dear schoolmates, let’s make good use of our time. Read and learn more.

黃晙楠：廣宇啊，為甚麽我和你手上都有一本書呢？

舒廣宇：你講得沒錯。這本書叫做《曹操正傳》，由於一本書不能夠說完他的故事，所以這本書分上下兩冊。

黃晙楠：哦！那你看完後，有否覺得他奸詐呢？

舒廣宇：我反而覺得他行事冷靜和機智。

黃晙楠：為什麽你會有這想法呢？

舒廣宇：聼我解釋吧！在那個年頭，有一個叫董卓的人，他殘暴不仁，有一個叫袁紹的人，他嘗試起兵討伐董卓，更想把曹操拉攏過來，但曹操拒絕了。

黃晙楠：為什麽呢？

舒廣宇：你那麽想聼，不如我全都講給你聼吧！話説……天下合久必分，分久必合……

黃晙楠：停止！如果你全部講完，別人看書的時候就沒有新鮮感了！而且看書是要自己看才有韻味，這麼精彩的書，留給大家慢慢咀嚼吧！

It was written by Jacqueline Wilson. This story is about a teacher, Mr Speed setting up a super-cool new Worry Website for his class. The children could type their worries on the website and got the advice. The children got shedloads of worries. And they found where they could get the best advice. 葉嘉怡/趙思佳：咦！世佳，你手上拿著甚麼書？

王世佳    ：這本書叫《白牙》，作者係杰克．倫敦，你們有沒有看過啊？

葉嘉怡    ：有哇！我們都有看過。書中的主角──白牙，從父親野狼那兒繼承了充滿強烈野性的血統。牠出生於荒野之中，屢受無數敵人的欺負及饑餓的侵襲，而在這物競天擇、弱肉強食的原始世界所予以的磨煉之下，憑求生的本能及堅強的意志，終於得以生存。

趙思佳    ：這本書我都看過。這本書最引人入勝之處，就是白牙在激烈的求生 環境之下，牠所具有的驚人活力。在那種稍不小心，別說無法獲得食物，甚至隨時喪命的可能的情況下，白牙的經歷實在往往令人緊張得手心冒汗。

王世佳    ：更令人感動的是，書中描寫白牙由散發著野性而進入文明的過程。一開始，白牙不相信任何人，只知棍子、命令和憎恨。後來遇到悉心照料牠的新主人後，變得充滿了愛，成為一隻人見人愛的狼狗。

趙思佳    ：《白牙》這本書能感動我們，我們也希望大家擁有白牙的精神，更要相信人間有愛呀！

Anthony:      Sure. It is very famous and popular book. I have read it so many times.

Anson     :      It is such an interesting book so we would like to share this book with all of you.

Anthony:      This book is about Stiltonix is going on a space trip. During the space trip, the spacemice and he were invited to participate in the Soccerrix Championship.

Anson     :      It’s a tournament for most popular sport in space! But Geronimo doesn’t know how to play soccerix. How can he win the championship?

Anthony:      His enemies in the match were aliens all aaround the universe. They were good at playing soccerix.

Anson     :      Luckily, a great soccerix player in their team taught him how to play.

Anthony:      Do you want to know if Geronimo won the championship?

Anson     :      Do you want to know what happened next in the story?

Anthony:      You can borrow the book from the school library and public libraries.

Anson & Anthony :       Trust us! You can’t stop reading once you started reading it.
